About this Position

To ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace by implementing and monitoring Henkel SHE standards, statutory safety regulations, and best practices across plant operations. The role is responsible for hazard identification and risk assessment, safety inspections and audits, emergency preparedness and response, chemical and contractor safety management, maintenance of SHE documentation, implementation of 5S standards, and coordination of ISO management systems. Additionally, the position supports regulatory compliance, environmental monitoring, and the upkeep of first aid, firefighting, and other safety-critical systems to promote a safe and sustainable working environment.

What you´ll do

  • Implement and monitor Henkel SHE (Safety, Health and Environmental) standards
  • Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations and Henkel SHE standards
  • Conduct hazard identification & risk assessments (HIRA / JSA)
  • Oversee safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals-RM & Finished Goods.
  • Implement 5S standards at workplace
  • Ensure safety coverage across second shift
  • Conduct shift safety inspections and audits
  • Monitor third party workers and technical team safety during second shift
  • Ensure emergency readiness during off-hours
  • Ensure Safety & statutory compliance (Factory Act, Hazardous Chemical Rules, etc.)
  • Conduct periodic safety audits and inspections
  • Maintain SOPs, work permits, and SHE Related documents
  • Handle fire safety systems, alarms, extinguishers
  •  Coordinate emergency response (spill, fire, exposure) in the shift
  • Ensure implementation of 5S standards at workplace
  • Contract work coordination for SHE requirements and compliance
  • Coordinate with team for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 certification/standards for the site and preparation of documentation for the related external/internal audits
  • Carry out periodic Safety inspections of all equipment, installations and infrastructure of the facility
    Maintenance and monitoring of first aid and firefighting equipment, effluent treatment plant and conduct periodical environmental monitoring

What makes you a good fit

  • Minimum Experience of 3 years
  • Science Graduate or Diploma in Chemical Engineering.
  • Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety
  • Experience of implementation of chemical safety, lab safety practices, compliance protocols in chemical/pharma manufacturing plant/R&D center
  • Basic understanding of adhesives/raw material hazards (solvents, resins, polymers, curatives)
  • Risk assessment techniques (HAZOP, JSA, HIRA)
  • Incident investigation skills
  • Good communication and training skills
  • Ability to work independently in shifts
  • Quick response during emergencies
  • Coordination with technical teams
  • Knowledge of PPE standards and usage
