At Henkel, you can make a difference and craft your career. Henkel Adhesive Technologies is the leading solution provider for adhesives, sealants and functional coatings worldwide.

Through our Engineered Wood business, we drive a transformation in the construction industry where sustainable buildings from engineered wood replace traditional materials such as concrete and steel. Henkel's high-tech adhesives are crucial for the production of safe and sustainable engineered wood, and thus enable a significant reduction in the buildings' carbon footprint.

As a Certification Manager (100%) based in our Application Center in Sempach-Station, Switzerland, you will play a central role in testing, certifying and qualifying our adhesive technologies in an industrial environment. Working closely with our product development teams in Düsseldorf, as well as with global application engineering and sales teams, you will ensure that our solutions meet international standards and support successful implementation at our customers worldwide.

  • Act as technical interface in technical projects, innovation activities and customer qualification processes in collaboration with PD, AE, technical partners and customers
  • Perform laboratory work including sample preparation, testing and adhesive performance evaluation
  • Prepare, review and maintain technical documentation (TDS, guidelines, labels, test reports, executive summaries) and support training activities
  • Support alignment of CTQ (Critical to Quality) criteria for new adhesive developments

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Wood Technology, Timber Engineering, Materials Science or related fields (wood/materials focus); specialization in sustainability or ecology is a plus
  • ~5 years of experience in timber industry, materials testing, certification or regulatory environments (e.g. building codes, eco-labels, standards)
  • Basic understanding of engineered wood adhesives, bonding processes and hands-on laboratory/testing methods
  • Structured, data-driven and proactive mindset with strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in an international environment
  • Customer-oriented, innovative and open-minded personality with willingness to travel within Europe; fluent in German and English (additional languages are a plus)
