About this position

You work in the global headquarter in Duesseldorf in a field with health and safety experts from various professions, contributing to Henkel’s global interdisciplinary health management. Your focus areas include health and exposure protection, as well as the planning and implementation of concepts to promote a health-oriented corporate culture. You work closely with the global SHE Governance Team, the regional SHE teams, and the (medical) regional health managers.

What you'll do

  • Monitoring compliance with global legal requirements, reporting obligations, and governance standards
  • Further development of occupational, emergency, and travel medicine as well as industrial hygiene standards, procedures, guidelines, tools, training, and KPIs
  • Planning, monitoring, reporting, and action planning for the global medical enzyme monitoring program
  • Planning of annual global health campaigns in the context of Global SHE Days and organizing health-related activities at the site
  • Further development and implementation of digital tools for health protection and promotion in collaboration with Human Resources, as well as strategic projects with Safety, Health & Environment teams

What makes you a good fit

  • Completed medical degree with professional experience as a physician
    Alternatively: Degree in exposure risk management, e.g., training as an industrial hygienist or toxicologist
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in occupational medicine, industrial hygiene and/or toxicology (in a corporate governance role)
  • Sound knowledge of occupational and emergency medicine processes, risk assessments, exposure protection, and hygiene requirements
  • Experience in international occupational health and safety within corporate governance structures
  • Proficient in health governance and controlling processes as well as standards within a global SHE management system
  • Very good spoken and written English skills and good German skills
  • Knowledge in travel medicine / travel health preferred
