Account Manager Iberia (Adhesives for Packaging)

  • Responsible for driving all demands and be the first point of contact of all functions within the customer
  • Responsible for profitable sales development of his/her local sales area for packaging adhesives, mainly for food and beverage industry and coordination of the Distribution channel in Spain.
  • Analyze and develop customer potential and competition activities
  • Ensure prospection to gain market share
  • Lead & initiate contacts at plants, production, maintenance, quality, purchasing, logistics, marketing where applicable, management level
  • Maintain influential network at the customer and within Henkel on all key levels & dimensions
  • Coordinate and steer information & reporting flow between the sales area and internal functions (Supply Chain, Front Office, Technical customer Service, Marketing, Business Development)
  • Identify and implement targeted projects, as well as pricing policy
  • Identify key/unmet customer needs and translate into innovation opportunities


  • Master’s degree in business administration and/or Technical / scientific background
  • Business and customer oriented, independent, with minimum 5-10 years’ experience in technical field sales or project management position
  • Self-starter, experience in managing key accounts (national or international) and coordination of B2B Distributors
  • An experience in the industrial adhesives and/or related packaging industry is a plus
  • Regular national/international travel required
  • Experience with technical product solutions for packaging industry are highly appreciated
  • Requires a valid driver’s license
  • Requires mobility on national level
  • Up-to-date computer skills including business typing skills, strong literacy in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Power Point, CRM
  • Contact management software
  • Outstanding communication capabilities, fluent in Spanish and English. Catalan and German appreciated.
  • Outstanding presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building
